MINUSMA Condemns Terrorist Attack against Malian Armed and Security Forces in Misséni

MINUSMA strongly condemns the cowardly terrorist attack against the Malian military and security posts in Misséni, in the “cercle” of Kadiolo, in the south of Mali.

One member of the Malian Armed Forces was killed and two were wounded in the attack, which took place in the early morning yesterday, 10 June. There was also material damage.

MINUSMA extends its condolences to the Government and the Malian Armed Forces, as well as to the family of the soldier who was killed. The Mission wishes a speedy recovery to the two soldiers who were injured.

MINUSMA stresses once again the urgent need to advance the peace process to ensure that the Government and stakeholders work and act together to ward off the terrorist challenge that threatens Mali and its people.
