SRSG Albert Koenders reports that, during the visit he undertook today to Kidal together with the Chairman of the African Union, the President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, progress is being made in the negotiations with the armed groups in the following areas:
Establishment of a cease-fire;
Handover by the armed groups of the individuals they are currently detaining;
Resumption of the political dialogue.
