  • 05 Jul 2021 - Taking a piece of leather in her hand, Bachira, a Tuareg artisan, starts weaving an ornament that will be sewed onto a new colourful tribal saddle cushion that may end up decorating a home somewhere. Bachira is an accomplished leather worker. She is among 360 artisans in Mali sponsored by the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) to promote social cohesion and dialogue through traditional art. 
  • 08 Jun 2021 - Bamako, 7 June 2021 - Since the beginning of May, individuals with a hidden agenda have been regularly inciting the population of Aguelhok, in Kidal region, to leave their homes, pretexting that their lives would be threatened by the presence of a MINUSMA camp in the town.

  • 13 Feb 2021 - The members of the Security Council condemned in the strongest terms the attack perpetrated on 10 February 2021 against MINUSMA near Douentza, which resulted in one peacekeeper from Togo killed and twenty-seven peacekeepers injured.
  • 16 Jan 2021 - The Secretary-General strongly condemns the attack against a convoy of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) that took place on 15 January 2021 near Tessalit in Kidal region, which resulted in the death of an Egyptian peacekeeper and serious injuries to another.
  • 15 Jan 2021 - Bamako, 15 January 2021 - The Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) and Head of MINUSMA, Mr. Mahamat Saleh ANNADIF, has learned with dismay of the Improvised Explosive Device attack (IED/mine) perpetrated against a MINUSMA’s tanker truck, which was part of a logistics convoy, today at about 3pm in the vicinity of Tessalit, in the Kidal region.
  • 13 Jan 2021 - Bamako, 13 January 2021 - A MINUSMA company hit improvised explosive devices (IEDs) during a security operation today, 13 January, before coming under fire from unidentified armed men. 
  • 14 Feb 2020 - Bamako, February 14, 2020. The village of Ogossagou, located in the Bankass circle in Mopti region, was attacked this morning at around 5 a.m. The attack claimed the lives of many villagers and left several injured. Houses were also burned.
