  • 24 Apr 2015 - At around 1:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon, a MINUSMA vehicle hit a mine in the vicinity of Anefis, Kidal region, while escorting a convoy of subcontractors of the Mission.   Seven peacekeepers were injured in the explosion, six of them seriously. All of them were immediately evacuated to receive appropriate medical care and MINUSMA forces secured the site.  
  • 23 Apr 2015 - The Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) and Head of MINUSMA, Mr. Mongi Hamdi, was received by His Excellency Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, the President of the Republic of Mali, at Koulouba yesterday, 22 April.  
  • 22 Apr 2015 - Following the discovery of mines, MINUSMA’s Force apprehended three individuals in Aguelhok on Monday, 20 April 2015.   All three are suspected of having prepared an attack with an explosive device.   In line with the United Nations procedures in this regard, MINUSMA will turn the three persons over to the competent national authorities today, towards the end of the day.  
  • 20 Apr 2015 - Today, at around 11:30 a.m., a convoy of civilian MINUSMA contractors was once again attacked by assailants 30 kilometers west of Gao.   Preliminary reports indicate that at least one driver was assassinated and that his truck was burned afterwards.   MINUSMA immediately sent a patrol to the site.  
  • 18 Apr 2015 - Yesterday evening around 7 pm., a convoy of MINUSMA contractors was attacked by two assailants 15 kilometers west of Gao.   The assailants stopped the convoy and immediately killed the two drivers and subsequently set the trucks on fire.   The other members of the group of contractors, of whom one was injured by bullets, managed to escape. Several contractors have been interviewed in light of the ongoing investigation.  
  • 15 Apr 2015 - At around 11:30 a.m. today, a suicide vehicle exploded at the entrance to the MINUSMA camp in Ansongo, in the Gao region, as it tried to enter.   The attack injured nine peacekeepers from the contingent of Niger, two of them seriously.   The explosion also killed at least three civilians and injured seven others. Medical evacuations are underway.  
  • 10 Apr 2015 - The members of the Security Council heard a briefing on Mali by the Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations, Mr Hervé Ladsous, on 9 April 2015.
  • 07 Apr 2015 - Bamako, April 7, 2015 – Yesterday, Monday late afternoon, a MINUSMA vehicle hit a mine about 30 km from Kidal on the way towards Gao. The vehicle was escorting a convoy of contractors. Two peacekeepers got injured in the explosion, of which one seriously. The 2 peacekeepers were immediately evacuated to Gao, to receive appropriate medical care.  
  • 05 Apr 2015 - Bamako, April 5, 2015 - Around 6:00 this morning, at least three rockets were fired on the city of Gao. Preliminary reports indicate that one of the rockets hit a house, killing a women and injuring two civilians. They are currently being treated in the hospital of Gao.   
  • 04 Apr 2015 - Algiers, 4 April 2015 – The Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG), Mr. Mongi Hamdi, has been in the Algerian capital since yesterday to consult with the Foreign Minister of Algeria, H.E. Ramtane Lamamra, who leads the mediation team, and with a delegation of the Coordination, with a view to having the Coordination initial the Peace Agreement as soon as possible.
