16 Jan 2021 - The Secretary-General strongly condemns the attack against a convoy of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) that took place on 15 January 2021 near Tessalit in Kidal region, which resulted in the death of an Egyptian peacekeeper and serious injuries to another.
15 Jan 2021 - Bamako, 15 January 2021 - The Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) and Head of MINUSMA, Mr. Mahamat Saleh ANNADIF, has learned with dismay of the Improvised Explosive Device attack (IED/mine) perpetrated against a MINUSMA’s tanker truck, which was part of a logistics convoy, today at about 3pm in the vicinity of Tessalit, in the Kidal region.
14 Feb 2020 - Bamako, February 14, 2020. The village of Ogossagou, located in the Bankass circle in Mopti region, was attacked this morning at around 5 a.m.
The attack claimed the lives of many villagers and left several injured. Houses were also burned.
02 Oct 2019 - Bamako, 2 October 2019 - The United Nations Integrated Multidimensional Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) is dismayed by the toll of the simultaneous terrorist attacks on a Malian G5 Sahel unit position in Boulkessi and the Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) in Mondoro, on 30 September and 1st of October 2019 in central Mali.
12 Jul 2019 - Bamako, 12 July 2019 - The Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict, Virginia Gamba, launched today the campaign ACT to Protect Children Affected by Conflict in Bamako with the support of the Prime Minister of Mali, Boubou Cissé, and his Government.
10 Jun 2019 - The Secretary-General is outraged by reports that at least 95 civilians, including women and children, have been killed and many injured following an attack yesterday on Sobanou-Kou village, Mopti region, in central Mali.
The members of the Security Council condemned in the strongest terms the attacks perpetrated on 18 May 2019 against vehicles of MINUSMA in Timbuktu and Tessalit, which resulted in one peacekeeper from Nigeria killed and several others injured.
19 May 2019 - The Secretary-General condemns today's attacks against the United Nation's Integrated Stabilization Mission for Mali (MINUSMA) in Timbuktu and Tessalit. He is deeply saddened at the death of a Nigerian peacekeeper who succumbed to his wounds following the armed attack by unidentified assailants in Timbuktu. He expresses heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and to the Government of Nigeria. He wishes a speedy recovery to another Nigerian peacekeeper who was wounded in the same attack.
06 May 2019 - The Secretary-General welcomes the signing of a political agreement between the Government and the opposition parties on 2 May in Bamako, which was followed yesterday by the formation of an inclusive cabinet.
