  • 29 Aug 2015 - The Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) and Head of MINUSMA, Mr. Mongi Hamdi, was received by His Excellency Mr. Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, the President of the Republic of Mali, at Koulouba this morning.
  • 26 Aug 2015 - The Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of MINUSMA, Mr. Mongi Hamdi, met with the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr. Ramtane Lamamra, in Algiers on Tuesday evening, 25 August 2015.
  • 22 Aug 2015 - This morning, a MINUSMA vehicle that was escorting a logistics convoy struck a mine or explosive device on the road between Ansongo and Ménaka, 70 km east of Ansongo. The explosion destroyed the vehicle and seriously injured two MINUSMA soldiers, whose medical evacuation is underway. MINUSMA strongly condemns such acts aiming to paralyze the Mission’s operations in Mali and to indiscriminately harm United Nations personnel or innocent civilians.
  • 17 Aug 2015 - MINUSMA reiterates its strong condemnation of the armed clashes that have been taking place between the Plateforme and the Coordination des Mouvements de l’Azawad since 15 August, including the takeover of Anefis by elements of the Plateforme today. These acts constitute a flagrant violation of the ceasefire and the Peace Agreement.   MINUSMA urges the parties to cease fighting immediately and to return to the positions they occupied before 15 August 2015.        
  • 17 Aug 2015 - Armed clashes erupted on 15, 16 and 17 August between CMA and Plateform in Kidal region, respectively in Touzek Oued, located 60 km southeast of Kidal , east of Amassine, 80 km south of Kidal  and in the Tabankort-Anefis axis, 45 km southwest of Anefis, where fighting has resumed today.  
  • 11 Aug 2015 - Attack in Sévaré / Update on the Number of Victims among the MINUSMA Contractor’s Personnel The company contracted by MINUSMA has confirmed that the Malian driver who died during the terrorist attack in Sévaré was not a member of its personnel.   Therefore, a total of four members of the MINUSMA contractor’s personnel were killed.  
  • 08 Aug 2015 - MINUSMA is relieved at the successful conclusion early this morning of the operation carried out by the Malian forces and congratulates them on it.
  • 07 Aug 2015 - The Secretary-General condemns today's attack in Sévaré, Mali, which led to the death of at least one United Nations contractor. A number of soldiers from the Malian Armed Forces have also reportedly been killed and wounded in the incident which remains ongoing.
  • 07 Aug 2015 - Early this morning, unidentified armed men launched an attack on a Malian military site in the town of Sévaré, in the Mopti region. The attackers, who were pushed back by the Malian Armed Forces, then took refuge in a hotel in town (Byblos). Confrontations between the attackers and the Malian Armed and Security Forces continued throughout the morning and shots continue to be fired sporadically at the hotel and in its vicinity.
  • 06 Aug 2015 - The Commission Technique Mixte de Sécurité (CTMS – Mixed Technical Commission for Security), which is tasked with supervising the implementation of the ceasefire and cessation of hostilities agreements, met at MINUSMA headquarters in Bamako yesterday. The meeting was presided by the Force Commander of the Mission, Major General Michael Anker Lollesgaard.
